Lead Unity Engineer

Guidekick works directly with world-renowned cultural attractions to create mobile and web guides for their visitors. You’ll be working on some of the world’s top museums, historic monuments, and even a recently discovered royal Chinese tomb. Using Unity technologies, you would help create the innovative and beautiful user experiences that Guidekick is known for. You’ll also work on pipeline and editor tools to help support a rapidly growing amount of visitor attractions.

Schedule / Compensation

  • Ideally full-time, ~40hrs/week, working with us in our Berkeley, CA office

Responsibilities

  • Develop end user experiences for mobile and web
  • Develop unity based tools that help produce apps more efficiently
  • Implement functionality as per design document and specification
  • Bring new ideas to the table to help increase efficiency, conduct better testing, and incorporate new technologies

Skills and Experience

  • Unity User Interface (UI)
  • Advanced level C# programming in Unity
  • Shipped one or more commercial mobile apps or unity projects
  • 2+ years developing software with Unity
  • Strong background in computer science fundamentals

Nice To Have

  • Interest and passion in travel, history, and culture
  • Possess a wide-range of game application and game engine skills (e.g. rendering, AI, physics, camera, animation, etc.)
  • Experience with native iOS or Android development

Full Stack Engineer

Guidekick works directly with world-renowned cultural attractions to create mobile and web guides for their visitors. Using modern web technologies, you would help create systems that handle location-based triggering of multimedia, mapping of interior spaces, visualizing sophisticated location-based analytics, and anything else you want to get your mitts on.
